Design Commission Process & Information
Please Read All Information Below Thoroughly Before Sending Your Inquiry!
The purpose of design commissions is for me to provide you with an accurate and customized design that is tailored specifically to you and your background that you can take to a different artist/studio to have tattooed on you. While the design provided to you will be considerably less expensive than getting the tattoo done by me, the creation of the design still requires a great deal of time, skill, and specialized knowledge to produce, so please understand what goes into the pricing of your design. For example, a design commission of a full sleeve is $400, while getting this tattooed by me personally would likely be $1500-$2000.
I will also happily create design commissions for non-Filipino clients as well--the design will be catered to your specific background. I will not be providing non-traditional/non-folk designs, so please don't request styles that I clearly do not do.
NOTE: I DO THESE DESIGN COMISSIONS AT A RATE OF 10 ACCEPTED INQUIRIES APPROX. EVERY 2 WEEKS. THEREFORE, DUE TO DEMAND, PLEASE BE PATIENT IN RECEIVING A RESPONSE TO YOUR INQUIRY AND ACCEPTANCE OF YOUR PROJECT--IF YOU'VE FOLLOWED INSTRUCTIONS, YOUR PROJECT WILL MOST LIKELY BE ACCEPTED IN DUE TIME. IT COULD POTENITALLY BE A MONTH OR MORE BEFORE I ACCEPT YOUR PROJECT. YOU WILL BE TOLD AN APPROXIMATE TIME OF COMPLETION FOR YOUR PROJECT WHEN I SEND AN ACCEPTANCE EMAIL.
A $100 USD deposit will be required to begin the design process. I will send instructions on how to send your deposit via email. You must receive confirmation from me that I've agreed to do your design commission BEFORE the deposit is made. A deposit confirms that you are agreeing to the final price of the design and will make the final payment upon project completion and just prior to me sending you the completed design materials. Your deposit will be deducted from the final payment.
Prices range from the smallest cuff size ($250) to full bodysuit ($1500)

If you want a combination of body parts or a unique placement, pricing will be determined based on what you have described and will be provided to you in the initial response to your inquiry. Prices are non-negotiable.
Here is what is included with the purchase of a Design Commission:
1. High-quality JPG/JPEG images (other image formats if possible/requested) of your design(s) and an outline of the overall meaning of the design.
2. A list of artists and practitioners around the world that I trust and recommend to do the work. You do not have to work with artists I recommend.
3. Any other materials and information that are relevant to your specific project.
In most cases, you can expect the finished product within 2 weeks from making your deposit, though please understand this timeframe could be slightly longer in some instances.
Note that commissioning one of these designs does NOT mean a deposit for a booking with me. While I am honored by the demand, it is simply not possible for me to tattoo everyone who requests.

In your inquiry email, please provide the following information (applicable to Filipino clients) in the form of a list. Please be BRIEF and CONCISE in your email:
1. Full Name
2. Where you are based (so I can give relevant recommendations for artists)
3. Body part(s) you want to be tattooed
4. Your Specific Ethnic Background (Filipino isn't specific enough. For example, if your family is Ilokano, Bisayan, Tagalog, Kapampangan, Sino-Pangasinan, Bicolano, Kankanaey, etc. you must specify that and all which apply to you)
5. Your family's regional background (where they lived in the Philippines)
6. The work/lifestyle you and your family has/had in the Islands (fishermen, business owners, farmers, etc.)
7. Any specific symbology you want represented in the tattoo (strength, resilience, plants, animals, ocean, ancestors, etc.)
Your inquiry will be reviewed and if I agree to the project, your inquiry will be responded to and a deposit will be requested. Understand that, due to demand, your inquiry may not be responded to right away--this does not mean your inquiry was rejected. You will be provided an APPROXIMATE timeframe of completion for your project. In most cases, this will be around 2 weeks.
